The Bettenay family have been making wine and nougat for many years.

Using traditional processes and sourcing the finest of ingredients, be it from their very own property or fruit and nuts of the highest quality from Margaret River and select sources around Australia.

In 1988 we set up a vineyard and winery on their Margaret River property. After 18 years of making premium wines we decided there was another product we also had a passion for and this is where the nougat began.


Sourcing the finest fruit and nuts as well as local honey, Bettenay’s Margaret River Nougat is the ultimate moreish treat. All the nougat is made in small batches and each bar is hand wrapped and crafted. Ther bars contain all natural ingredients and have no added preservatives.

Although based on a French style, the nougat is made using a secret family recipe and is a style of its own, a uniqueness unlike any other.

Relying upon advice from his soil scientist father in selecting the property, Greg Bettenay began planting the vineyards in 1989, and now has cabernet sauvignon (4.5ha), chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, shiraz (1.5ha each), semillon and merlot (1ha each).
