A go your own way day today.
One half paddling her own canoe, the other, photobombing the surf spots.
Picked up breakie from the White Elephant Café. Salmon bagel with cream cheese.
Triple shot long black from Two Cracks Coffee.
Dropped the other half off at River Mouth for 09.45. She was on a “Bushtucker Tour – (click for external link)” and canoe paddle up the Margaret River.
“Discover the pristine Margaret River waters and the historic and cultural heritage along the banks. Enjoy a unique Australian wild food luncheon hosted by our experienced bushtucker guides. Suitable for all ages and abilities.Departs most Sundays and Wednesdays and Fridays”.
Me, took my self off to “Gas Bay” at the end of Gas Bay Road in Gnarabup.
Took the path to the left of the car park and headed the short walk to the headland.
Passed some strange bird of prey perched on its vantage point, checking out the other local wildlife.
The headland revealed another beach, out of sight and out of earshot.
Great waves and a chance to use the monopod with the 400mm lens.
Headed back to Surfer’s Point at Prevelly for lunch. Lucky day today.
Saw two pods of dolphins riding the waves from Southside through to Mainbreak. Gave the two surfers a fantastic front seat view.
The Southside surfers had clear conditions and blue skies.
Finished the day off at River Mouth for sunset.
